OVERVIEW
NewBridge Family Shelter is a program of ICD Bridges, Inc., a non-profit organization.
Our trained and qualified professionals provide quality services and support to individuals impacted by
domestic violence. Our primary objective is to help individuals gain a healthy and self-sufficient life that is free of
physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. We also strive to encourage positive mental health and emotional healing, provide
guidance and advocacy, and promote education for the prevention of domestic violence. Our services reach
children, survivors of domestic violence, and the perpetrators of abuse. Most of our services are offered at no cost.
WHO'S ELIGIBLE?
The abuse does not have to involve physical violence or be recent nor does it have to be between husband and wife in order
for a person to be
eligible for our services. And,
there aren't any financial or age criteria to meet either. The only criteria is that you have been a victim or perpetrator of physical, sexual, verbal, or
psychological abuse in a family, dating, or other committed intimate relationship at some time in your life. So, it can be recent
abuse or it could have happened many years ago when you were a child and witnessed abuse in your family or if you
were abused yourself as a child. It could be past or present abuse from a grandparent or a sibling or from a same-sex partner.
Or, it could be from unwanted sexual activity or verbal abuse from a current or former boyfriend. It can even be from stalking
by an acquintance.
LOCATION AND COUNTIES SERVED
We are located in West Central Texas in the town of San Angelo. Our service area is that of the 14 county Concho Valley
area. The counties (and main cities) we serve are shown in the map below...
NOTE - none of the people in the photos on this site are or ever have been NewBridge clients.
